Look at this year's holiday listings for Old Town Tustin, then look at the addresses. A maker show is booked for the dirt lot at 245 El Camino Real. The certified farmers market sets up at 474 El Camino Real at 3rd Street. The tree lighting's vendor area fills the corner of El Camino Real and 3rd. Most of the season's shopping happens in temporary markets that appear for a morning or an evening on the same few blocks and then pack up.
For planning, the useful details are the block, the hour, and what's already open within a few doors. The permanent shops between those lots are part of every one of these dates.

The Saturday Market Is the One Constant
Every other date on the season's calendar happens once. The Downtown Tustin Saturday Farmers Market runs every week. The state's register of certified farmers markets, current as of Oct. 1, 2026, lists it at 474 El Camino Real at 3rd Street, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, year-round. If you go by an older city notice that gave 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you'll find a market that is already winding down. The California Department of Food and Agriculture register is the more recent source.
The weekly market matters to the holiday calendar because of where it lands on two key weekends. Saturday, Nov. 21 is the morning before Patchwork Show. Saturday, Dec. 5 is the morning after the tree lighting. Both of the season's one-time markets fall right next to a regular Saturday, and the farmers market sits at the 3rd Street corner, the same intersection where the tree lighting's vendor market sets up on Dec. 4.
November 22 Moves the Maker Crowd to 245 El Camino Real
Patchwork Show Tustin is listed for Sunday, Nov. 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 245 El Camino Real. The organizer describes food trucks and local vendors in a spot surrounded by Old Town's historic buildings, shops and restaurants. It's an indie makers' market, and the setting is informal. The organizer's vendor page describes the venue as an outdoor lot of hard-packed dirt that "can get dusty," with no Wi-Fi or electricity, and leashed dogs welcome. Closed-toe shoes make sense here, and so does bringing the dog.
You can't know the exact size of this year's show yet. When the show came to Tustin in May 2023, the Daily Pilot reported more than 70 artists, crafters, designers and artisan food makers at that edition. Across its shows in general, Patchwork says its events typically run 100 to 200 vendors. The organizer posts booth assignments and the vendor map on the Monday before the show, which this year is Nov. 16. The date comes from the organizer's own listing, so check that page again the week of the show.
The location is the useful part. 245 El Camino Real is a few doors from CHAAK Kitchen at 215 El Camino Real, which holds a Bib Gourmand on its Michelin Guide listing. One of the most recognized kitchens in the district is a short walk from the maker lot, so you can plan a meal at CHAAK alongside the show.
December 4 Opens With the Market, an Hour Before the Lights
The City of Tustin lists its Christmas Tree Lighting for Friday, Dec. 4, 2026, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Old Town at Main Street and El Camino Real. The shopping starts earlier. Dreamers Markets lists its vendor area at El Camino Real and 3rd Street from 5 to 8:30 p.m. that night. Admission is free, and Dreamers runs the market while the event itself stays with its own organizer.
That hour between 5 and 6 p.m. is easy to miss. The city calendar shows the 6 p.m. start, and the vendor market's opening appears only on the Dreamers listing. For its Tustin markets, Dreamers describes the merchandise as handmade and vintage goods, packaged food and drinks, children's goods, plants, candles and jewelry. That list covers a lot of small gifts, and the 5 p.m. stalls are open before the crowd builds for the lighting.
The city hasn't posted a 2026 program for the evening yet. Last year's event on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, was described in a Kidsguide listing as a Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Stroll. That night had vendors, the Dreamers Market, a Snow Village, stage performances, photos with Santa, kids' activities and food trucks, with free admission and activities centered on El Camino Real and 3rd Street. Those are 2025 details, so don't count on them for 2026. What is confirmed for this year is the date, the hours and the corner.
The corner is the same one as before. El Camino Real and 3rd Street is where the Saturday farmers market sets up every week. The Dreamers stalls on Friday night and the produce stands on Saturday morning are about 14 hours apart at the same intersection.
The Permanent Shops Between the Lots
The temporary markets draw people to El Camino Real, and the storefronts on the street are there on every one of these dates, though their hours vary. Walking up the street by address, starting near the Patchwork lot, here is what's within reach:
- CHAAK Kitchen, 215 El Camino Real. The Bib Gourmand restaurant next to the 245 lot, the obvious stop around Patchwork Show.
- Morning Lavender, 330 El Camino Real. A cafe and boutique that pairs clothing with tea and coffee, between the Patchwork lot and the 3rd Street corner.
- Spice & Tulips, 403 El Camino Real. Handcrafted spice blends, Turkish-inspired gifts and cooking classes, open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those hours line up with the Saturday farmers market. On the Sunday of Patchwork and after 5 p.m. on the tree-lighting Friday, the shop is closed.
- Saddleback Flower Shop, 601 El Camino Real. In Old Town since 1966, with weekday hours listed on its own site.
- Arvida Book Co., 115 W. Main Street. Just off El Camino Real, with White Sparrow Coffee inside. The store is running 2026 book clubs on its site.
Check hours against the calendar before you set out. Spice & Tulips is the clearest case, since its schedule fits one of the three market dates and misses the other two. The Saturday market and the shops' daytime hours overlap the most, which makes Saturday morning the most reliable time to combine market and shop errands this season.
One storefront is missing this year. Rutabegorz served its last meals at its Main Street location in Old Town on Oct. 30, 2025, after 47 years there, as the Orange County Business Journal reported. The Business Journal noted that its regulars over the years included local teachers and City Hall staff. This is Old Town's first holiday season since it closed, and some older district guides still list it. For a meal around these events, look along El Camino Real.
How the Season Lines Up
Put in order, the dates read like a single route along the street:
- Saturday, Nov. 21, 8 a.m. to noon: the farmers market at 474 El Camino Real, while Spice & Tulips and Morning Lavender are a short walk south.
- Sunday, Nov. 22, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Patchwork Show at 245 El Camino Real, with CHAAK Kitchen nearby at 215.
- Friday, Dec. 4, from 5 p.m.: the Dreamers stalls at El Camino Real and 3rd, an hour before the city's tree lighting begins at 6.
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 8 a.m. to noon: the farmers market back at the same 3rd Street corner.
Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, Nov. 26, between the Patchwork weekend and the tree lighting. That leaves a week and a half between the two one-time markets, with the regular Saturday market on Nov. 28 in between.
Old Town's buildings and storefronts are a big part of why these markets choose El Camino Real.
