I HAVE A VERY SOFT SPOT FOR THIS HOME. I bought my first home, a Cliff May in Tustin, for $575,000 in 2005. It was in very similar condition — good bones but it needed some aesthetic help. But the great things about these homes is that they clean-up well. Some paint, unified flooring, and a few good garage sale / antique store / Ikea runs and you’ve got yourself a stylish home at the very affordable end of the spectrum in Orange County. If you can afford a $500k condo, you can probably qualify for this house. There are some bigger changes down the line you’ll want to make — that front wall needs to come forward to better frame the courtyard.
