One of my favorite things is being able to talk about cool, amazing, unique homes in just about every city in Orange County. And Niguel West is on of those “hidden gem” neighborhoods people forget about. Filled with awesome homes designed by esteemed mid-century modern architect George Bissell, these homes have aged well. I’ve always loved this plan in particular — it takes advantage of the hillside where most homebuilders would have bulldozed and terraformed, this design embraces the natural landscape. Lot of light and a cool L-shaped floorplan with clerestory windows makes this home memorable and noteworthy. I do wish the kitchen was redone and things were a bit more cohesive for the price point, but this home is located right on the border of Monarch Beach and coastal living doesn’t come cheap.
