We LOVE Old Towne Orange, but time for some brutal honesty, it’s not always the most value for your money. And by not always the most value, I mean it’s really really expensive. Great if you can afford it, but what if you can’t? Well, that’s where this house comes in. It’s in Old Town Tustin, which is still historic, charming, and totally walkable. But there’s actually parking and it’s much less crowded (and it’s a couple of a degrees cooler in the summer, too). And you have this house, specifically. It’s remodeled with a kitchen that works, and the layout is open. And it has enough bathrooms. The hardest thing when working with clients is helping them figure out the compromises. And this home, while our own listing, is not perfect (is any house?) — it’s a unique compromise. Sure, there are definitely some old-house things…like original but creaky wood floors (this is what character sounds like). But to be able to get a historic home with the bedrooms, square footage, and bathrooms that make 21st century living comfortable is quite the feat. And it’s all at a price that fits in a lot more budgets than a similar home one city farther inland.
