Lautner in Laguna?

ACTUALLY, NO 🙁 Sorry for the little bit of click-bait, but this house does totally remind me of Lautner’s Garcia House. What’s interesting about this house is that I feel like a lot of work has been on the exterior recently, but the interior feels like it had a remodel sometime in the 1990s. The layout of this house is unique but the design of the home definitely takes advantage of the lot and the surroundings. The big patio on the back side works (and you’ll find, many of the backyards in Laguna’s Blue Bird Canyon don’t work so well) and also frames the views perfectly. For $1.9M and less than 2,000 square feet I do feel some lament over the ocean view, which I was hoping would be a bit bigger. But hey, it’s 2018 and prices no longer surprise me. This one needs a little bit of rethinking (just say no to whitewashed beams), but could be absolutely stunning — and I don’t think it would take that much.
