..this probably won’t change your mind. But it might be something you can afford. I love these Palmer and Krisel-designed (P&Ks) ranch homes because I think it’s hard to find more style-per-dollar anywhere. William Krisel designed these homes and sold the designs to a multitude of different builders throughout Southern California. They were smaller homes with lots of windows, vaulted ceilings, and typically had 2 bathrooms. They remodel exceptionally-well and affordable to boot. So where else can you find a modern ranch, relatively coastal (this isn’t too far from where the 22 and 405 meet), on a decent lot? And while the condition and upgrades are absolutely not what I would do, this is the kind of house you can live in from day one.
