Our web people tell us that articles with questions are more likely to get clicked on. I just like writing about houses that I think are pretty cool that you might want to know about. $1.5M isn’t a cheap house — but lately even I’ve been a little surprised by how unremarkable some of the houses in the price range can be. But then some days I wake up and see homes like this pop up in the MLS. While I don’t think this is a Edward Killingsworth house, I can definitely see some design influence. This is one of those homes that really illustrates why modern home design doesn’t just look pretty — it functions well, too. What makes this house cool, though, are some of the extra details. Take a closer look — things like oversized sliding doors that reach to the ceiling without a header — not a cheap design element in 1964 when this house was built. But more importantly, it’s indicative of the level of car put into designing this home. This one isn’t perfect (glass blocks in the entry way!?#@$!?@#$) and I think the furnishings are a total clash for the design of the home, but this is a $1.5M house I’m actually excited about in a location I love.
Don’t spend another day living in a house you don’t love. Life is short. Call us.
