There is plenty to do in the area this holiday season. In our December Orange County holiday events highlight below we’ve listed our top two events for each week of the month. From pet adoptions and breakfast with Santa, to a silent disco and New Years Eve aboard a Yacht, you are sure to find something fun to get you into the holiday spirit each week of December. Heavenly Peace on December 5th, 2014
Who doesn’t enjoy a good holiday song, especially at the beginning of the season? With over 500 musicians, Orange County Millennial Choirs & Orchestras’ annual Christmas show is sure to astound. OCMCO youth choirs, adult Grand Chorus and the Symphony Orchestra all come together to play Christmas carols and holiday favorites. The event takes place at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Tickets start at $18 per seat.
20th Annual Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Shopping Village on December 6th, 2014
A full day of activities awaits you and your family in Downtown Anaheim, starting with Santa’s Pancake Breakfast at 10am. An assortment of free activities will follow including crafts, artificial snow play and train rides. The ceremonial lighting of the 50-foot Christmas tree commences at 6pm. Be sure to grab a photo with Santa, tour the international food fair and shop for unique gifts as well. All the fun and festivities will take place at Center Street Promenade and Lemon Street.
8th Annual Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair on December 7th, 2014
Are you ready to adopt a furry friend into your family? If so, consider visiting this fair and bring a pet home for the holidays. Over 40 animal shelters and rescue organizations will be present with more than 500 cuddly animals available for adoption. In addition to finding the perfect pet, there will be vendors, food trucks, a silent auction and low-cost microchips. The fair will take place at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Admission is $1 and parking is free.
