Independence Day is always an exciting time with the wide variety of 4th of July activities in Orange County! Summer heat, beach visits and so many different options for celebrating and viewing fireworks means that even though the fourth is in the middle of the week this year, we can still make the most of the holiday.

3rd of July Celebration – El Modena High School, Orange
A whole day early, the City of Orange’s hometown-style carnival will feature games, entertainment, delicious food for sale, patriotic music performed by the Orange Community Master Chorale and a fantastic fireworks display. Firecracker 5k/10k – Canyon High School, Anaheim Hills
Amongst other wholesome, unique family-friendly 4th of July activities in Orange County, the Firecracker 5k and 10k runs are a healthy way to start a day of classic Independence Day celebrating. Of course, the runs culminate in a Pancake Breakfast right after. The race starts at 7am but participants and their family members are encouraged to arrive earlier to explore the booths, stretch and be present for the opening ceremonies. 4th of July and Fireworks Cruises – Newport Beach
Are fireworks alone just not thrilling enough for you on Independence Day? You’re in luck, because Cruise Newport Beach has you covered with their Fireworks Cruises. Enjoy traveling on the water past the beautiful beaches of Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach, taking in the setting sun and sea creatures before the excitement of the fireworks show. Pacific Symphony’s “Symphonic Springsteen” – Pacific Amphitheater, Costa Mesa
Pack your own picnic and bring your friends and family to the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa for an epic show! Bruce in the USA will perform, featuring Springsteen tribute artist Matt Ryan. Attendees will enjoy all of Bruce Springsteen’s biggest hits along with classic patriotic songs celebrating the holiday, and of course a big fireworks finale.
